After her business trip in Shanghai, my very good friend Ces (who was also in town some months back) stayed in our home last May for a few days of retail therapy and just some good old friend-bonding. I have been complaining to her about the discomforts of my pregnancy, and like the dependable friend that she is, she granted me a visit here in Singapore, as her way of consoling me.

Luckily my pregnancy was more stable by the time she came such that I was able to take her around a bit. And when we were not out, we spent a lot of time sharing life stories. Our friendship grew by miles with that visit. I am definitely looking forward to her and husband Bien’s next visit–to be godparents to our soon to be born baby.
